Administrative Assistant

Putnam Indian Field School is hiring an Administrative Assistant for the 2024-25 school year.  The Administrative Assistant reports to the Head of School and the Director of Enrollment & Programs. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting current parents and teachers with their day-to-day needs, receiving visitors and coordinating on-site events, and managing the front door and phones, as well as student information and school-wide communication. The Administrative Assistant is guided by the mission, core values and pedagogical guide of the school and also must consistently exercise discretion and good judgment in the performance of responsibilities. Apprentice Studio Art Teacher

Putnam Indian Field School is hiring an Apprentice Studio Art Teacher (atelierista) for the 2024-25 school year. This apprenticeship could potentially lead to assuming the responsibilities of the Studio Art Teacher in the following school year (2025-26). For the duration of this one-year position, the Apprentice will work closely with the current Studio Art Teacher to assist with and learn from the scope of work done with children throughout the year. The Apprentice will demonstrate an understanding of and interest and ability to take on the role of the Studio Art Teacher.  The Studio Art Teacher reports to the Head of School and is responsible for inspiring confidence, curiosity, and creativity through the exploration of art media and processes. Director of Health & Compliance

Putnam Indian Field School is hiring a Director of Health & Compliance for the 2024-25 school year.  The Director of Health & Compliance is certified and trained as either a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant and oversees all of the school’s medical, health, and safety procedures. The Health & Compliance Director provides medical care and expertise on illness and injury, and assumes responsibility for attendance, medical record-keeping, staff trainings, and all other duties related to health for staff and students. The Director of Health & Compliance reports to the Head of School and is guided by the mission, core values and pedagogical guide of the school and also must consistently exercise discretion and good judgment in the performance of responsibilities.
